Will the bodycams be connected to their mpesa and bank accounts too??
Kenyan govt official wako na ujinga sana. So KRA staff are engaged in bribery because hawana cameras? What will stop us from negotiating of camera and putting up a show for the cameras?
What is lacking in the fight against corruption ni watu kunyongwa. Make people accountable for their actions na wizi itapubgua yenyewe.
similar to the proposal to remove pockets from coppers uniforms…umeffi tu
I agree. If the DCI and Judiciary could give life sentences and anika like 50 big profile cases, corruption would tremendously reduce.
Actually it works…believe it or not.
In major businesses that handle cash there is always a camera placed directly above the cash machine and it records all transactions.
In technical fields most acceptance tests are recorded in audio visual where applicable.
In nairobi county (and i believe many county) water meter reading, the months meter reading is usually photographed in order to avoid issue of misreading and maintain an accurate record.
There are apps that are used to track people who are working in remote areas. They share location, record photos of location before the works and after the works. They use the timestamps to calculate man hours, etc.
Simply what i mean is that cameras have always been used to calculate productivity of employees, record financial transactions, prevent fraud and theft, etc.
What fight are you talking about. There’s none. Just harassing the small fish for show.
Any small improvement is welcome
This wont work in Kenya. The police in the US tried the same but when corrupt officers are compromised sometimes the footage conveniently is unavailable or the camera wasn’t on :D. This is a way to eat money from whoever will win the tender to supply those cameras.
