Dear reader never venture into hen farming with good business plan n budget

Unafuga kinyeji chicken ama layers hizi za GMO? Know the difference bwana.

The best kienyeji scoop should look like this

but there is this animal (which feeds exclusively on chicken, only God knows why)

you must make sure the there are no holes big enough to fit it’s head…don’t buy kienyeji as chicks but zikiwa teenagers. put 10 hens per one cock and sepaerate them into groups like that. Mix omena, maize, chicken feed, ugali and feed the hens. Don’t rear to sell them but for the fertilized eggs and normal eggs which go for ksh. 20

:D:D:D slayhens…

Ignoramus patheticus, even kienyejis hufugwa particularly the improved ones

bila ata image ii ni hekaya ya abunuasi

Kwa kuku I always advise start small
I started with 24 kienyejis not chicks but all grown
Zilithoofika zote and died
I didn’t know when one gets sick you separate from the rest.i learnt alot.
I used that experience to start another one
This time nilinunua chicks 320 improved za mayayai
I invested alot on that Coop ensuring it’s clean and all
Zikiwa changa not even one died
Treated them all like they were babies
Mashida ilianza 4month some diseases others stampede Total of 40 of them died
Food was expensive 3200 per bag …when they were chicks the bag would go for a week when they grew the bag would go for 2 days only so in a month I would spend about 50k on food only
We waited for the 6 month hakuna mayai 7 month hakuna mayai…I thought no food I thought zilikuwa zinapewa less .wapi 2 weeks nothing.
My wife gave akasema tuziuze . pressure from neighbours some haters hapo were laughing at her.she had even identified a buyer who was so eager after seeing them.the price had also been agreed on without bargain.some instincts told me …zii.the way this buyer acted.so I disagreed and asked the buyer to give us more time.wife was so mad! A friend came over took one of the hens akainamisha to view from the back akapima ass na vidole mbili akatushow ziko almost tusijaribu kuuza .
Next morning my wife came excited a.f from the coop.she had collected one egg…the next week Monday we filled a tray.in the 10 month we were doing 8 trays per day.The buyer kept on calling but we told him we had changed our mind.
Every end week we would have trucks pull up to collect eggs.things were looking up now
Of course there were good return on that investment.

my point is in this business you must have that passion
you will need alot of capital forget the one you had on the budget.you must have a contingency budget incase things go south.
your patience will be tested
to the limits
No Matter how much research you have done there comes a time where you need assistance don’t hesitate na lazima ukae rada.
Don’t employ someone to do everything for you.also be a hands on type of person If you must employ monitor the coop regularly. one small mistake can cost you immensely.
Treat the hens as if they were your babies.
Lazima uwe na passion
Don’t count your chicks before they hatch
Finally always have a plan B usikufe moyo

First thing is educate yourself first(vaccination, feeding program, hygiene etc) then develop passion then start small.bure you will be frustrated.400 was large no for a rookie.ungeanza na 30 then master the art polepole

Teenagers:D:D:D.

I think you should have paid your friend some consultancy fee to avoid some mistakes. Since he had good experience i’m sure he would have come in handy.
Lakini wewe na kiburi zako za ku copy paste blindly
