I want to believe that voter registration is equally an important task as voting day, I remember Rao arguing his supporters to register as voters come this year, he said that election will be won during the 30 days exercise… am surprised that Cord is busy forming NASA during this important on my team, such times are called “all hands on deck time” where every leader in Cord would report how many new members they have brought on board daily…am surprised that Cord leaders are busy in their big offices forming ANASA instead being out on the field…
Someone make understand the formation of NASA, in 07' Raila formed ODM, a like-minded people who were opposing the Kilifi draft, in 13' they formed CORD, a group of like-minded people who were opposed to Uhuruto, for sure, CORD is a good idea, a brand known all over Kenya, why would they think of another outfit, why can't they accommodate Musalia and Nick Salat in CORD??? Why do they have to copy Jubilee??? How will they sell ANASA in 7 months????

Raila formed ODM in 2007, this came about during a referendum between a YES and NO vote (Ndizi na Chungwa) where its main purpose was to reject the New Constitution where the NO vote won. Orange popularity formed the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). It later merged with other parties to form Cord which run against Jubilee in the last elections. Now about 7 months to the elections NASA is here to incorporate other parties sharing the ‘same’ agenda. Incorporating Musalia and Nick Salat in CORD is referred to as a take-over and not a merger. You need to understand the difference between merger, take-over, amalgamation, consolidation etc (story for another day). The real issue should be highlighted as disagreement within NASA, probable dis-unity in NASA after choosing a flag-bearer, and the separation of principals which is not a matter of if but when.

probably you started paying attention to politics just the other day. The original guys behind ODM were Uhuru and Raila. Raila bolted out of KANU to form ODM, together with Uhuru from KANU. They were joined by Kalonzo who claimed ownership of the party, but when Odinga wanted to register it, he found some Mugambi Imanyara already registered it. Kalonzo had to go with ODM Kenya, and Raila bought the ODM from Imanyara. The guys formed the outfit with the sole purpose of opposing Kibaki in the 2005 referendum. Just do a little reading around and confirm.
