How does paypal work. I already checked on google but can’t find the exact info am looking for. For those in the know how, if I want to use it to pay for goods or services do I have to transfer funds from my bank account to my paypal account ama kunaendaga aye? Asande kwa sasa.

If you have ViSA card you can add that to your PayPal a/c and use it for payment. It’ll be like swiping your card.

Add your VISA card to Paypal account. Paypal will charge USD 1 on the card. Go to your bank and get an account statement. You will see the Paypal transaction on your statement. Use the code on transaction to confirm your card on Paypal. That’s it. You can now pay for goods online using your account balance via Paypal.
Note: Make your Paypal password different from other sites you may have accounts with. I learnt this the hard way.

Paypal only accepts US bank accounts (last time I checked). Haitakubali a Kenyan bank account. The only way kuverify Paypal accounts for us Kenyans is the VISA way. An unverified account is all but useless.

I activated mine using the Nakumatt Global Card from KCB. It’s a prepaid debit card.

I am an online writer and PayPal is the only mode of payment. I have linked my Equity account with the PayPal account so I can easily transact ( mostly from PayPal to equity. They have a PayPal withdrawal service) Also you can buy goods online via your PayPal account provided your account is verified. You can verify your account by hitting the verify button on ur PP account and filling in the details required like card number etc. Make sure the email linked to your bank account is the same as that of PayPal. It’s a piece of headache but once done everything will be smooth. Also if your transfering money from PayPal to equity it takes 8 business days for the money to reflect in the account
