A man meets a lively beautiful young girl who just completed high school and was getting introduced to club life. He discovers that she is a virgin the first time they have sex.
He also learns that she has a heart problem and she gets really breathless and gets chest pain especially during prolonged sex. She was used to masturbating before they met and had experienced orgasm without chest pain before. But with real sex, it is a bit of a struggle for her. But she keeps insisting on doing it.
They keep seeing each other. He buys her gifts, takes her for a holiday and she seems to get a real blast out of it. She starts buying him gifts too: a shirt with tie now, a keyholder then, a belt later.
She knows he is married but she keeps pushing for a relationship.
Then she says that if he ever leaves her she will die.
He gets alarmed and tries to cut her off but she becomes obsessive.
Eventually he succeeds in reducing the frequency of their rendezvouz.(s?)
She goes to college, meets a boy gets on with her life.
Five years later, she works in a small firm in her home city and lives with her parents.
They meet and have coffee and chat. He can sense she wants to go out but he declines. They meet a few times more and he gets to know one of the boys they work with. He hooks him up with a better job. Same city.
Later she sents him a message: “I miss you.” She repeats this message four times in one day. In the evening he calls her. Mteja. Later the following day he calls the young man to say hi. The man tells him that she collapsed the night before and was rushed to the ICU and died.
She is buried. He doesnt attend the service and burial.
A few days later while taking a shower he hears her voice, “I miss you.” Loud and clear. The following few days he keeps hearing the voice.
One day when driving tears come pouring out of his eyes. He cant see. He parks the car and weeps for 10 minutes or so and continues driving.
Of late, the voice has died away. But the mongo cant sleep.
