Hahaa, this war with DPRK might as well just begin.

  1. First of all, the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson and its accompanying battle group of 1 missile frigate and 2 destroyers, a supply ship and replenishment ship. What they fail to mention is submarines may be attached to the battle group because they treat subs with much higher secrecy than SpecOps.

  1. China deployed 150k troops to the border with DPRK and informed them to prepare for war.

There’s interesting footage embedded in this web article.

  1. It so happens that USS Makin Island, the same ship that launched the Seal raid into Yemen, was around and decided to pull into Hong Kong for a scheduled visit. This one is an amphibious assault ship (basically a small aircraft carrier oriented towards amphibious ops) and carries 1500 marines and 1100 sailors, and is the flagship for the Amphibious Ready Group which consists of MKI, Uss Somerset an amphibious transport dock (carries the hovercrafts and other beach landing equipment as well as 4 helos/2 ospreys) and Uss Comstock a dock landing ship (carries the beach landing equipment as well as another 600 marines).
    Aircraft: (depends upon mission)
    6 AV-8B Harrier attack planes
4 AH-1W Super Cobra attack helis
    12 CH-46 Sea Knight helicopters
    9 CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopters
    4 UH-1N Huey helicopters

Or assault
42 CH-46 Sea Knight helicopters
6 AV-8B Harrier attack planes

  1. The Uss Eisenhower is ready for deployment and is currently undertaking sustainment drills. As to where it will be deployed to, we’ll wait to see how tensions on the Korean Peninsula go.

  1. Japan deployed its ‘destroyers’ (under its pacifist constitution, Japan is not allowed to have offensive weapons. So instead of calling them what they are, helicopter carriers, they called them heavy destroyers) to conduct joint drills with the ROK and US navies.

  1. The US deployed nuclear ‘sniffing’ aircraft, the WC-135 Constant Phoenix, to Japan.

  1. As a show of force, the US conducted an elephant walk at Kadena Air Base in Japan to show DPRK they are not joking. An elephant walk is a USAF term for the taxiing of military aircraft right before takeoff, when they are in close formation. Often, it takes place right before a minimum interval takeoff (scrambling all available aircraft at twelve- and fifteen-second intervals, respectively. It was designed to maximize the number of aircraft launched in the least amount of time possible before the base faced a nuclear strike, which would obliterate all remaining aircraft.)

This is often performed to prepare squadrons for war time operations, as well as prepare pilots for the launching of fully armed aircraft in one mass event

But its not as easy as people think, the Kim psycho, when he gets cornered he may unleash a nuclear bomb which will be catastrophic. Unless they have done their homework well and can conduct an initial preemptive strike on its nuclear sites thus leaving DPRK with only the normal conventional weaponry

last picture, if that is the elephant walk then ill be scared to death…the sight of the airplane used for sniffing nuclear warheads is just too ugly and scary when it is in the ground…

So China deploying 150k troops with tanks and self propelled artillery is American propaganda?

in fact fighting with a people who have brainwashed all their lives will be very difficult. the DPRK fighters will have nothing to lose and will just fight to the last man for their cause.

Hehehe, since when did relaying things as they happen mean one is a sycophant? Wait. I had forgotten.

No one has under-estimated DPRK. The deployment of Aegis destroyers actually shows they have something to be afraid of. FYI Aegis is a missile defence system deployed on ships.

Btw, China joined other countries in placing more sanctions on DPRK…

and even stopped buying NK coal, and is instead buying American.

Hapa Japan and South Korea will have to ask themselves whether they are ready for war because Kim Jong-Un will not want to go down without inflicting real damage on his ‘enemies’. Alafu the resilience the Japs exhibited in the 2nd world war tells me subduing the North will not be easy, the US might be in for a rude shock, woe unto them if they dare suffer mass casualties the populace back home will demand Trump’s resignation.

You can take this to the bank from a guy who has observed internatioal affairs for the last 50 years - there’s gonna be no war.

Trump may be crazy, but not crazy enough to start a war with a country of just 25 million with nuclear weapons. What would happen if he did?

  1. South Korea would cease to exist as a viable nation-state. Seoul would be obliterated. The barrage of conventional and non-conventional artillery would kill millions of S. Koreans and thousands of US troops.

  2. One or two American cities could be obliterated with a sneak nuclear attack by a submarine. Many others esp. on the Western sea board would be bombed with both chemical and conventinal munitions, potentially killing thousands.

  3. In retaliation, the US will have to completely obliterate N. Korea - very easy to do with a dozen nuclear warheads, or several thousand conventional bombs over a month of bombing.

The few - 1or 2 or 3 million N. Koreans who would survive would flock into China, creating a regional humanitarian crisis.

NO US PRESIDENT WILL WANT ALL THAT ON HS HANDS, AND IT IS DOUBTFUL THAT USMILITARY COMMANDERS WOULD IMPLEMENT AN ATTACK ORDER.
