i thought for a simlink attack you need local access, this would mean your server is completely compromised and someone has root access. you might want to put if offline and clean it. you will need to retrace your steps and find out what files/changes you made lately on the system. one of them was definitely the honey pot.

If I’m not mistaken weren’t you the guy dishing out “free” Wordpress themes?
Keep away from those sites and scripts unless you know how to check authenticity. MD5 hash? Look out for simple files renamed as jpg but contains php script. File modification dates? Etc.
The next thing your server will either be used to mine Bitcoins(lead to high processor usage), phishing attacks etc. SBL list PAP! Emails bounce and the “Get me out of here” warning page appears. If you are using a shared server you might be kicked out.
Zip your files and start a fresh.
