GYM ADVICE NEEDED HERE

Well i joined the Gym 4 days ago and i can say the experience is worth it.

Now have been doing Cross trainer for 30MINS rest for ONE MINUTE then hop onto the TreadMill for another 30MINS thats ONE HOUR CARDIO.

Am i on the right track?

Note that i have also taken a break from alcohol.

Whats the best diet …

Avoid wheat too coz utakuwa unaonoria unaweka unaonoria unaweka

Right track? Maybe this is due to the fact you have joined a gym and are doing something your excess weight.

But hour of cardio is totally unnecessary in my view… you will get conflicting advice on this so will state my opion and leave the a link on the best way to loose fat not weight. Now my opinion/s or Tips

 1. Find the right diet…This is a diet you can stick to for the long haul.
 2. LIFT WEIGHTS! Here is why>> https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/cardio-vs-weights-for-weight-loss#section3 and here is why https://www.bodybuilding.com/content/fat-loss-training-wars.html
 3. Cardio… Do HIIT Cardio (google it)
 4. Don’t Jog/Run (YET) as an overweight beginner you mostly have poor running mechanics, weak leg muscles, your joints are not strong yet you risk injuries for nothing or little gain.

Cut out carbs. Continue with your cardio. Good luck

Thanks

How does it work

Terrible advice, anyone who tells you to cut out carbs is giving you ill informed advice, the body turns to carbs first to produce energy, proteins are mostly used during recovery period, if you completely cut out carbs you will not have enough strength to work out in the gym, eat complex carbs in the morning or before gym time-oatmeal, porridge, sweet potatoes, arrow roots etc, throw in larger portions of proteins and fruits, proteins make you feel full so you will not have cravings , ,spread out your meals through out the day and have a snack in between/some few hours before main meal, snack on a handful of nuts or protein shake or chicken salad etc, they will keep you full until your next meal so that you do not over eat, stop eating bread/chapati/mandazi or fried foods on a consistent basis eat once in a while in small portions, at night eat less/no carbs and more veggies and white meat in smaller portions because you are not active.

Also do strength training, lift heavy, your body will look toned and better than if you only do cardio, you can do cardio in the middle or end of your work out or very minimal to warm up your body but for the rest of the sessions lift weights

I fast for 48 hours to boost my GH levels then work out like a beast. I do only one HIIT session a week. It’s hard to convince people I have never taken steroids… ALSO PROTEIN, PROTEIN, PROTEIN… any excess will be used for energy.

whole wheat can be taken in moderation tbh, depends what his/her workout goals are/is?..losing weight, building muscles or just getting fit.In anycase, yes cut down on carbs…eat lots of protein that can be used for energy(makes you feel full, hence you eat less) as well as for muscle building.

As a newbie you should make rest more and that’s it. I have read something like 30 minutes, one minute rest and then again 30 minutes - way too much ! The best diet is to eat meat, milk and vegetables and a bit of fruits, that’s it really. Stop smoking too.

Just get an app and all your issues will be sorted!

Go to the gym and DO ANYTHING YOU WANT!! It is the physical activity that is important. Forget the nonsense about CARDIO this cardio that. If you decide to walk the treadmill, do so. If you decide to lift weights do so, if you decide to skip the rope, do so. There is no best way to exercise. IT IS THE PHYSICAL EXERTION that is important. All the rest is academic. That is the fundamental truth.

Eat whatever you want, that is what is ‘eating well’ for me. If you can burn 10k calories per week by either running, lifting weights or a combination of both, you get bigger muscles, has more energy to expend hence more power. Also push your limits you are a man an utilizes almost double the energy a lady uses. Don’t settle for ‘exercises’ like walking, that’s wussy. Run and lift weights. You cannot get fat if you routinely work out, regardless of what you eat. Na it’s easier to get back into shape if you’ve been working out for some years.

Thanks for suggestions
