An artist/group can have an whole album with only one (or two)meaningful or amazing tracks.

You cannot rate the whole album as “classic” based on one or two tracks out of the whole thing.

Come to think of it, very few artistes or groups have put out a whole entire album that we can honestly rate as a classic.

You cant say illmatic and ready to die had 2 or 3 hits.These are albums that went platinum. Plus a classic album isn’t necessarily about just the rhymes or chorus, the beats also play a part…take doggystyle or the chronic for example.

Honestly speaking, all the tracks in albums like Ready to Die and The Chronic bangers.

Forget going Platinum, can you as an individual give EVERY TRACK a 10/10 from any single album?

I can guarantee that most ratings for even the most highly rated artists are influenced by mostly the hype.

A good example is TuPac. Be honest right now … without using Google, can you name every single track off any of his albums?

I have none. There is no album I would rate as the greatest in its whole entirety, based on all and every single track therein.

That was my point.

I can tell you about individual tracks where the artist(s) outdid themselves and where you can use the word “great”, but not a whole album.
