Is there a university/learning institution in Kenya that offers this? I want to enroll my little bro who has just graduated. Google has not been of much help. I’ll appreciate your info…

I sometime wonder why anyone would waste money enrolling into a formal collage to study any IT course. The info available online today would make anybody with a passion for any available Computer related carriers a walkover. Passion is the key. Anyway, that’s just me

Graduate diploma is a postgrad qualification…Meaning he graduated from campus.

Then he will just be wasting money…MIS is too wide and general to actually teach anything of value.

@jerrydubiz why don’t you tell us what he graduated in and maybe you can get a better suggestion. If it is anything to do with finances then CISA would be a better match for him…

IMIS is now part of BCS (British Computer Society). So look for Institutions in Kenya offering BCS qualification. Please see link below

He has BCOM (management science degree-a blend of IT and statistics) but his interest is in IT. I will appreciate any suggestions.

True, but certifications have their place, I don’t think telling a potential employer that you don’t have any certifications but you learned your stuff online and you’r passionate would fly.

That’s correct, but do you really need to go to class to master/pass a certification especially in local collages where you will learn from course materials which are 10+yrs old (read absolute)

IT is very wide. and if those are his exact words, then I am afraid MIS will do nothing for him in future. Ask him exactly what he wants to do in IT because doing computer packages and ICDL is also IT

Ok, suggest options for a Bcom graduate.

CISA is perfect for him. It involves auditing IT but customised for such guys. From there ataweza jifunza what he wants by using that as a platform
