Two London men have been jailed for at least 32 years each for murdering a 25-year-old man during a raid to steal £50,000 worth of drugs in Essex.

Leon Wright, 32, of Highbury New Park, Islington, and Wesley Hendrickson, 32, of Ashford Crescent, Enfield, were sentenced on Friday (April 23) after previously being found guilty of murdering Asqeri Spaho.

The pair will each serve a minimum of 32 years in prison for Mr Spaho’s murder, after he was fatally stabbed during the burglary at a property on Tintern Avenue in Westcliff, Essex, in December 2019.

The Enfield Independent reported Mr Spaho was stabbed seven times, with the worst wound measuring 18 centimetres and puncturing his lung.

Wright and Hendrickson were also sentenced to 20 years, to run concurrently, for the attempted murder of another male who was at the address and seriously injured.

They were unanimously found guilty of all charges on Wednesday (April 21) following a trial at Basildon Crown Court.

Four other men have also been given a jail sentence of 13 years each for their part in an aggravated burglary at the property in Westcliff.

Durald Sokoli, 28, of Ayley Croft, Enfield, Brian Kinloch, 32, of Beachcroft Way, Islington, Scott Heaney, 23, of Hurlock Street, Islington, and Mitchell Harris, 29, of no fixed abode, were convicted of aggravated burglary at the same trial, but found not guilty of murder, manslaughter, and attempted murder.

The court heard that the group had broken into the address, on Tintern Avenue, Westcliff, on December 12, 2019, to steal cannabis that was growing inside.

It was said the six men had driven out to Southend armed with knives, swords, and duvet cases to bag up the drugs, in order to steal ‘about £50,000 worth of cannabis plants’.

Essex Police said they were called to reports of a disturbance at the address just after 4.20am, where they found Mr Spaho fatally injured, and another man with a stomach injury.

Mr Spaho was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second man was taken to hospital for treatment to a stomach injury.

The jury heard the group who had forced entry to the property had discarded their weapons, gloves and a balaclava at the scene before getting back into a vehicle and driving to London.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Greg Wood, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “Today, I’d like to pay tribute to Asqeri’s family and friends. I know his absence has left a huge void in their lives.

“The six men sentenced today committed crimes driven by greed and violence and, sadly, it cost Asqeri his life.

“Wright and Hendrickson have received lengthy sentences for murder, and the others for their part in the burglary, which rightfully reflects the terrible consequences of that night.

Sasa kila nyeusi kwako is an African American? Kijana ukweli kichwa yako imeharibika

BLM & Antifa London chapters classify London blacks as being similarly oppressed to African Americans. They have been holding parallel riots to those in Portland since 2020.

What a bellend racoon. So because of one unrelated crime = no valid reason for protests? These wazungu and Asians such as Andy Ngo that you are quoting are the worst humans on earth. Constantly selectively putting out stories to potray black people like you as animals. Meffi kabisa

You are prime example of why men should wear a condom when sticking it in crazy… if mama was intelligent angefunga miguu and spare us your existence. But as we can all see, stupidity runs in the family and you inherited the bulk of it

Make that atleast 300,000 known crimes annually in London alone.

Low blow!!

By your warped and stupid logic Russia and other Eastern Europe nations must be crime Free because the population of negroes is less than 0.0001%

300,000 out of?

According to your dense thinking it’s only negroes who commit crimes

Mbwa sijasema out of what total figure. But for the most part YES, these thick lipped, slack jawed, droopy-eyed, njaruo looking bonobos do commit most of the crimes. And yes that is why they are often locked up.

Even in your country Kenya you can see that the bonobos can’t be trusted to run govt or counties because they loot billions.

When you are high on cocaine you usually repeat that song that bonobos steal everything and have not evolved, but when the cocaine leaves your bloodstream you often become a BLM member again.

Ndindu can only afford to get high off ugoro
