Before covid 19 era nikiamua kulewa:
A time like this (Saturday afternoon), naacha gari home halafu ningekuwa nishaweekela pork choma ama kuku bahati pale Greenspot kama nangonjea my drinking buddies na an early kick-off game.
In the meantime na sip maji tu mdogo mdogo huku nikifanya moderation/contributions kwa kijiji.
After food najipea kama one-two hour hivi as I watch a game, ndio food iwe digested. After that nakunywa mpaka 9.30pm. Ndio mimi huyo nachukua Uber mpaka karibu home. Inani drop near my estate pahali kuna mugithi na late EPL kick off. Najibamba na mugithi mpaka late hours. In most cases napatana na my neighbors kwa mugithi ambao hunipea lift ama we get an Uber getting home as high as a kite.
Saa hi niko tu kwa nyumba bila form yoyote bwana. Niko na Richot Brandy lakini imenishinda…
How I miss those simple days.
Bring back, those simple times of yesterday…
Sasa kuna form ingine. Kujuana na watoto na mama yao tena. Start playing games together. We are in this together and it looks it will be on for a v long time. A good trusted friend told me if things do resume, it might be in September yawa. Has thrown everyone in a panic. So enda ukaongeze more beer stock.
I normally do that for 6 and a half days of every week. Sato afternoon was usually ME time. Angalau nijirudishie shukrani my way as I catch up with buddies.
Now this is gone
It’s not fair.
Fridays tumemalizana na first lady so Saturday is my day. Saturday mornings always start with me looking for Rugby matches in the morning. Then where I can take the car for interior cleaning. By noon kwa local for pork choma or mbuzi choma is on order. Hapo kwanza ni maji tu for that 45mins-1hr for the food to cook well. Always the same routine whichever town or city I’m in at that moment. By noon the various company are there only just different people. 1-2pm we feast. 2-4pm, biashara, sports, machinery or politics is the discussion. 4pm-7pm there those who go for some creatively moments or watch football. By 7pm the venue shifts to a better joint where we can now relax in comfort. Hapo kila MTU anashika pombe yake pole pole tu and more food is on the way with no worries or hurry. Here its just to have fun modestly. By 11pm some soup is served, some decide to go home or some go to a club for an hour or two depending on the music they like. If its ohangla, mugithi, latest hits. Its all a minute walk and you are there. Travel is by cabs, they know us, routine and likes. Usually by 2pm I’m back at home, full, tipsy but still very strong. Sunday is kids day after Church so I need energy to handle them.
Prob is, we are also feeling the pressure of having you guys in the house 7 days a week!!! At first, I thought the lockdown was so cool so he can WFH every day lakini I am thinking otherwise…everyone needs some time out, that is why you see women going to chamas.
Sijui tufanye aje as familiarity breeds contempt. We will have to find ways of working this out.
From hii hekaya nimejua kumbe wewe ni mtu uko na online friends pekee akina turdmeans wa huku na washiki simu. Inakaa leo utajibamba solo:D:D:D:D:D
