To most Christians, it’s heretical to say that the earth was NOT a perfect paradise before Adam sinned, but it’s an absolutely true statement supported by scripture and science:
[ul]
[li]The earth was not ‘perfect’ (from human perspective) when God created it 'formless and empty’ (Genesis 1:2).[/li][li]It was not ‘perfect’ when tectonic plates were colliding to thrust up land and mountains (Day 3, Genesis 1:9). [/li][li]It was not ‘perfect’ when the earth was in perpetual darkness (until Day 4, Genesis 1:2, 1:14-15).[/li][li]It was not ‘perfect’ when there were vicious dinosaurs swimming, flying, and walking (Day5, Genesis 1:21). [/li][li]It was not ‘perfect’ when God told the first humans to 'fill the earth and subdue it’ (Genesis 1:28).[/li][li]It was not perfect when it held the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, which required a choice between good and evil and with one touch could bring disaster (Genesis 3:2).[/li][li]It was not ‘perfect’ when God put Adam in the Garden of Eden 'to work it and take care of it’(Genesis 2:15).[/li][li]It was not ‘perfect’ when caring for the Garden was so much work that God had to find a ‘helper’ for Adam (Genesis 2:18).[/li][li]It was not ‘perfect’ when Satan was roaming the Garden telling Adam and Eve to disobey God (Genesis 3:1).[/li][/ul]
