Getting published in peer reviewed journals and dealing with rude editors .

I am just wondering wadau, are the peers and fellows in these journals primed to be assholes?

Fellow elders who have published in peer reviewed journals, please advise on how to deal with these egotistical maniacs.

I have had a paper trashed by one editor only for it to recieve stellar compliments from other peers - with some recommending the publishing of the article with minor changes.

There is bias in accepting peer reviewed journals moreso if you are African in some technical fields. They trash it.

For your journal to be accepted you either have to be working in a top ranked university or collaborate with a known academic in that field.

It is not easy moreso in some countries where you have to publish at least three journals to get your PhD.

Education can also be a god. Quest for knowledge. Worshiping the idolatry of knowledge and acceptance by “peers”.

I pray that I don’t get to that level of doing everything and anything to be accepted by those peers. No need to humilate myself to that extent.
