Sometimes I worry about what I’ll do when I can no longer do the things I do now – either because they invevitably become obsolete or I simply get ‘too old for this shit.’ How do I spend my days then? How do I get some meaning into my days then? I go round in circles, but, ultimately, I arrive at the question ‘What is the purpose of life?’

Well, there is a purpose, but, the only purpose of any life is to be alive long enough to give rise to a more resilient version of itself i.e you are born to replace yourself with a better version of you. That is the only thing asked by evolution. In essence, we are nothing more that an overly complicated version of the mayfly. But the mayflies, and Ultron – the evil charming robot, have the right idea about how it should be done.
