Genevieve Nnaji’s Directorial Debut ‘Lionheart’ Has Been Picked Up By Netflix. Ahead of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival tomorrow, Genevieve Nnaji’s Lion Heart Lion Heart has been acquired by Netflix. This makes the film, the first Netflix original film to come out of Nigeria’s bubbling film industry.

Lionheart is the veteran Nollywood actress’ directorial debut, and it’s clearly already making a major splash. The film also stars Nnaji in the lead role, alongside Nkem Owoh, Pete Edochie and Onyeka Onwenu.

The film sees Nnaji’s character trying to juggle family and her thriving career, which proves to be a major challenge as she’s faced with rampant
sexism in the workplace.

I am not sure it’s the first movie…kuna zingine.
