You have a terrible camera. From your shitty pic, that looks like quartz which is in all sand…or hardened amber/sap from from bluegum tree

definitely a quartz, though if the camera was good, it might also be a tourmaline. I owe my life to gemstones

That looks like a spessartite from loliondo in Tanzania… as cautioned by @0%_Omera dealing in gemstones is not child play, mimi nina zaidi ya 2kgs of useless stones that I thought were worth a fortune

Thanks guys… following!

If properly cut and polished, these might look decent enough to pass off as good cubic zirconia. And even fetch some good money if mounted on the right jewellery. Look into it.

As for me and my house… gemstones, ngozi za chui, mercury, dollars from those seemingly unwitting housemaids, gold from a stranded Congo man, etc!.. Wacha niwe maskini forever but I will never risk my 500/- for those!

Hakuna hekaya, I just got the stones from a Maasai friend in Tanzania who asked to see if they could make us a some money but then found gemstones business is not very straight forward, mara we buy red garnets in kilos, sijui the rubies are small, mara the spessartite are not gem quality… and since it’s not my main thing I just let it slide

These are real gemstones and one ot these days when I am really broke I will look into it

@mabenda4 kuja hapa

U nailed it @4makind, back in the days, I used to hung out with guys who were dealing with gemstones.
I saw 3 guys from Congo bring diamond to Nairobi, and 4 months down the road, no one had bought them, all this guy’s got were endless stories.
Then I came to States, had connection back home, started importing colored gemstones, lakini wapi, States only diamond do well.
For colored gemstone, target the Asian, huko Far East.
