How do gavament parastatals that are monopolies end up losing so much money
STUPID QUESTION. NONE OF YOUR FUCKING ASHY SCROTUMS BUSINESS
Correction, they are ashy hairy scrotums that go klang klang klang as they carry balls of steel
TYPICAL SUBSAHARAN …THINKING ABOUT SEX ALL DAY THEN CRY FOR AID
Ndi mugikuyu shumari ino, wii na kiuria?
Una fikiria pesa ya wheelbarrow ina toka wapi. Parastatals ni cash cow ya politicians kuiba. Huko ndio huweka rightmen wao wasanye.
130kg hua ni pimple with two birthmarks. So you are allowed not to think about sex anyways
The Dr Herod III Analysis if you remove theft out of the equation.
1.Efficeincy in production
*Inefficiencies in turning input into output translate government parastatals into loss making entities
e.g Government parastatals like mumias,Kq will use more energy & resources even though they produce a smaller amount of output than private entities produce
2.Free market prices
*prices set by central command do not correspond to supply and demand such a task is too much for central planners -resources will flow to their most valuable uses, this is will be dictated by demand - prices coordinate the use of scarce resources
To be continued…
Covid will be blamed for a lot of things. Lakini how does the only energy company in the country register losses…sad.

100% accurate. Political appointees to parastatals are just puppet shows. Loot_all had his kinsmen at kplc, Wanjohi amenyakua maziwa yote…this is a government acting in the greedy and selfish interests of some individuals and their henchmen. Fleecing everywhere
Working for a parastatal is how people get rich from looting. Hii Kenya most of the super wealthy worked for the government at a certain time and stole as much as they could either as politicians or as bureaucrats in parastatals and ministries. A senior employee at Kengen, KPLC, KQ, POSTA, Public Universities, etc, makes money hands over fist. Working for the government sio through politics pekee, though politicians get most of the heat as public figures. Bureaucrats loot more money than politicians but less per person. I know a few engineers kwa hizo parastatals with more than 3 flats each pale Ruaka and mansions in Runda and Ridgeways.
The moment we allowed ruto to run energy ministry, shida ilianza hapo

They are monopolies they charge whatever they want with the full support of the government
How does KPLC make a loss thats completely unacceptable
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Kplc have too many rogue employees and so is other parastatals. Money is siphoned at the revenue collection points so accounting for these funds is impossible. And overcharging customers and colluding with clients who have accrued bills etc. Bills are written off from the system. Same happens to water companies eg Nairobi water. KRA officers draw large sums of money OFF THE BOOKS. Clients who are supposed to pay 7m for a single cargo end up paying as low as 1m (official receipt given and payment reflected at the headquarters). A 2m bribe is shared amongst 4 employees. Government loses 6m. I could go on and on, corruption is engrained in the DNA of state officers and public servants even applicants to the civil service usually plan to eat and when absorbed they do so even better.
wivu itakumaliza …ungesoma kwa bidii upate kazi yenye unaonea wivu
Wrong.
The moment Jomo Kenyatta allowed government employees, ministers to run businesses while working for the people, that’s when shida ilianza.
