Gas Supply Business

Guys I need your help. This weekend I was with a birrionaire friend. Although the get together was purely social but mnajua wanaume lazima have to talk business. Out of nowhere he suggested getting into the Gas supply business. He said he would handle all matters capital and I only had to be the active partner as he is too busy.

It sounded nice. He told me I needed to do a feasibility study and come up with atleast 100 ready customer to make the investment worthwhile. To me that sounds reasonable. So I have gotten down to sourcing ready customers and I have about 20 in my mind. My mind challenge is am just not a peoples guy. But mwanaume ni kujaribu so am asking please tell me of methods to get monthly gas customers. Thanks in advance wazito.

location, competition

Nairobi mainly Thika road, Kabete, CBD, Eastleigh, Westland and anywhere near these areas.

ongea na captain wa makuku @captain284,yeye ndiye mbirrionaire hio sekta.

Mboch contacts will come in handy…
After getting a good location and ample number of cylinders.
Ability to make deliveries will definitely put you ahead of the competition.

I know a person who invested in the business about 8 years ago.
In the early years business was good but currently you find a shop/stall/kiosk selling gas after every 10 metres(typical Kenyan mentality)

after sales service…or so i heard…but key things i suppose are…

  1. location-highly populated area(middle class or lower middle class eg zimmer, roysa)
  2. free delivery
  3. bei ikue friendly
4.clean your cylinders poa…other accesories related to gas cylinder
  4. adverts kwa estate
    6.kua mtu wa watu

No. 4 is very important but most sellers don’t seem to understand…unapata mtungi ni chafu ata rangi imeisha

This has been my main concern.

@Captain284 mkubwa ongea hapa tafadhali.

How will you be sourcing the gas? There’s a big monopoly in the gas business

monopoly by who?

Paipu kuna gas business kwa each and every flat

I can see everything basic you needed to know already given out. Be ready to work day and night if you are into it. Ensure you have a commercial vehicle kutransport if you have many cylinders. Barua ya erc weka mpangoni(kama hakuna pesa ya @pamba ikuwe ready 24-7.)
Learn trick za kubadilisha cylinders. Not all gas cylinders are exchangeable/some fall under different pools.

This knowledge should be given at a fee but since it’s in this village to help you and other talkers let it be free today. There’s a milli tips you need to know about getting cylinders, refilling and so on.

Asante sana mkubwa

Free advice. To run a business, you will have to be a people’s guy. You have to build a relationship with customers.

Gas should be supplied like electricity. I wonder why people haven’t thought of that. Or the costs and risks outweigh the benefits?

Dig out more before uingie kwa biashara lakini. Find a close trustworthy person ready to help you in the same just around your place. Remember to keep business secrets. That’s the worst thing that kills many of these kind of hustles

wakisii watatoboa pipe waibe gas

I will Capitan. Thanks very much I appreciate.
