Ummm…we’re not sure he’s dead, that’s what’s referred to as a cliffhanger. Remember Melisandre returned to castle black just in time for Jon Snow’s stabbing. Remember also when Arya Stark met members of the brotherhood without banners, one of them had been resurrected about five or six times. They worshipped the Lord of Light, the same god Melisandre worships. I’m just saying she could very well be the one who saves Snow’s life. But at this point I’ve gotten so used to seemingly important characters being killed that I wouldn’t be surprised if he actually died. Fuck George RR Martin.

I agree withbyou that melisandre will most likely resurrect him. The only thing is that all this is surprise for everyone. The last book didnt have those scenes so either they are working of the drafts of the new book to be released or the writers have taken the story in a whole new direction.
