Was given authority to tackle all cartels in the tea sector. Cronies in those cartels ni allies wa JSKS so hakuna mahali wataenda.
When Gachagua splits with JSKS (which is inevitable) will be blamed for failure of the entire Yellow party to perform his given mandate. Walai JSKS is a genius. Give someone a job, sabotage and then blame him for the failure.
IF @Riggy G thinks boardroom meetings will wipe out the cartels in Tea and Coffee subsectors he is dead wrong.
Coffee rustling (stealing coffee from the co-operatives’ factories) is rampant and Centro and is usually an inside job. Such loses are then shared amongst the members leading to very low “final” price to the farmer.
Kikulasho kiko nguoni mwa farmers.
This was used on RAO back in 2009, he was given the task of Mau forest restoration whose only outcome would make him loose the Kalenjin support. Ubako played him well
This is BS. Pana nia Pana njia. It’s not up to Riggie’G. It’s the coffee and tea farmers’ Will. Italian Mob was dismantled, so was Chicago and New York. No reason why these and other cartels cannot be crushed. Let’s be positive.
His biggest challenge will be control of the coffee and tea auction houses which are ‘legally’ protected. Meru coffee cooperative society tried to do direct marketing and get into the Mombasa auction house and they were slapped with fees of 1B.
Another challenge which can only be won by forced disappearances is the mismanagement and theft at tea factories and coffee co-ops by management
