Moi used to recruit polis and Jeshi from kaleos. But when kibaki took over he changed all that and recruitment is done at constituency level in the whole country. Each constituency nowadays produces an equal number of officers but this stupid kachagua wants to take us back to the dark ages.
That was during colonial times since kikuyus were mau mau and couldn’t be trusted by beberu and so only the loyalist kaleos, and kambas and samburus were recruited. Masais refused to join the beberu police and army.
