The impeachment is done, it can’t be undone. Is it the impeachment or removal from office?
They are not quite the same thing

What I would expect the court to look at is whether the impeachment was procedural or not, not try to overturn it.
So the real issue should be to determine if the impeachment merits legal grounds to then remove him from office: was it fair?
For him I guess the appeal is satisfy himself that they didn’t hit him while he lay down and did nothing. He has to strike some blows for himself as he goes down.

If it was in unprocedural?

If it is proven unprocedural then they can be barred from removing him from office. It’ll just be hard for him to work amid all the hostility, but he would have to continue holding the position of DP despite the impeachment, and receive all the payments and official benefits he has been receiving till the end of his term
(Ref. the cases of governors Kawira Mwangaza and Wambora).
But if he wins the appeal he can also play the cards in his favour and have the last laugh: he can then resign instead of being fired, and eat his money in peace.

They can’t impeach him twice? Would love to see how he’d be a headache to jabass

Of course they can. That’s why if I were to advise him in such a situation I would tell him to take that new lease of life (if he gets it), and exit before they can scheme against him again. He has enough money, these savage battles are not worth it.

Jagathi seems to be a fighter and will go down fighting too

Sure, but to some other people peace of mind and good health are more important than constant fights trying to retain a position. If it’s true he’s ill then these things will take a toll on him.

@Lionheart :

The worst thing to do is to try and force yourself into a marriage where you are not wanted …

If I were him , I would negotiate an exit package and exit peacefully for a non-political life as a hotelier and farmer.

He is very vulnerable if his powerful enemies start going after him …

  • issues around how he ends up owning his late brothers assets instead of the widow and nephews.
  • ethics issues around how KES: 202 million originally declared as proceeds of corruption were returned to him.
  • any attempts to further continue in politics would be fairly easy for the Ruto Regime and his enemies to frustrate.
Apart from a few equally vulnerable Central Legislators, he has no realistic political base to further his political agenda.

But Riggy Gee being Riggy Gee , we will be entertained with a lot of interesting drama in the near future …:rofl:

Politics is war. Some people think you can learn nothing from history, but that isn’t true. When Napoleon Bonaparte escaped from the island of Elba where he had been banished after his first serious defeat in Russia, European powers chose to teach him a lasting lesson as he regrouped to attack again. This time they ganged up and defeated him soundly at Waterloo (in Belgium), then they put him on a ship and sent him to the island prison of St. Helena, some tiny dot of land in the heart of the Atlantic, sorrounded by thousands of miles of sea away from both Africa and S.America–5000 miles away from France; he sailed for 2 months!
There, he spent the rest of his life listening to the mournful crooning of seagulls and the sound of boiling surf crashing against the dark cliffs. Even today, very few pilots can land a plane there against the fierce winds.
Take your chance when you have it, that’s something to learn from history.
