There seems to be too much freedom of speech in this country.
Lets assess these scenarios and see their practicality :
[ul]
[li]A regional leader standing on the same on the same dais with Desalegn / Kiir / Yoweri / Kagame / Nkurunziza / Magufuli and openly contesting their achievements and perceived falsehoods. Then goes home, sleeps and wakes up the next day. Mind blowing isn’t it ?[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]An opposition member of parliament packages and hurls loads of insult at the sample presidents above out of rage. Then goes home, sleeps and wakes up the next day. Mind blowing.[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]Someone plans on evicting a whole community from a region and goes ahead to tell youth from his community to stop people from the other community from voting in his constituency. The same people who roam the country saying that “Kenya will never be divided along ethnic lines for political gain again”. Then he goes home, sleeps and wakes up the next day, free. Talk about bullshit.[/li][/ul]
There are many other examples from both the opposition, government, foreigners coming here and forcing Kenyans to work on Jamhuri day. (Am sure you have an idea of what would be done to you if you forced Rwandans to work on Genocide Memorial day, let alone independence day)…
Only one country measures up to this level of freedom in Africa. Or is it Kenya that measures up to it ?

With power comes responsibility. We need to manage and protect our freedoms with responsibility. Maybe use it for more positive things like speaking out against things we all agree ail our Nation.
Just a thought.
