free economics class

The arguments about the Kenya shilling being stronger than Uganda shilling are nonsense. If you go to Kampala with KShs 1,000 you will buy more stuff there than you will buy with the same in Nairobi. The strength of a currency is measured by its purchasing power and not by its exchange rate.

(njega)

Have you ever heard of the term 'cost of living?

A burger is cheaper in uganda than in kenya than in South Africa than in the US…
A labourer in Ug needs three days to earn 1000 ($10), two days in Kenya and less than two hours in the US…

I am I making sense?

Saidia na pdf ya Adam Smith “Wealth of Nations”

The stronger the currency the more the standards of living. Thats why u see jungus comfortably settling in Ke coz anajua with his US$2mil he can even buy statehouse 50x100 plot and build a white house na bado aishi kama Jeff Bezos

No wonder

Not necessarily true. 1 Japanese yen = 1 Kenyan shilling. Can you compare the standards of living of the two countries.

True. Its called getting more bang for your buck. We get very little in Kenya for our shilling. It’s amazing that the price of food in a Kenyan store is the same as the price of food in a US store. Milk, Bread, juice, eggs, etc.

That Njega guy is one bitter person

Paraphrase please

[COLOR=rgb(184, 49, 47)]More standards of living. Never heard of that before

That Njega has contradicted himself I guess. It’s the comparison between the purshasing powers called Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) that is used to arrive at the exchange rates

I am no economist but every time I land in UG or TZ, my Thousandaire status assure me of good food, copious alcohol and access to tight vaginas a life I can only dream of in Kenya. In UG for example, with 1k, I am assured of a filling meal and at least five beers. For another 1500, am assured of a kunguru, Durex featherlite na room safi nikamue mpaka asubuhi.

Free economics class is simply total LOL here no matter how you really put it. It’s for sure that exchange rate means something but you also should take a note thing like inflation and overall GDP of the country anyway. And a lot more factors for example.
