It is very refreshing to see someone stating the facts as they are. I have become disillusioned by the culture of mediocrity that we promote with our politics, and perhaps, the sentiments expressed herein are an idea whose time has come.
Which other candidates running within Nairobi (all kinds of positions, not necessarily governorship) lay out a clear vision and way forward for us as Nairobians, in such a clear manner, so that we can back them? Let that vote really count, and eliminate voter apathy.
Maybe we borrow a leaf from Duterte, and get them cartels away from Nairobi [I]waende other counties?
Hata Baba akiita six piece, namwambia hiyo ni yake aichore kwa ballot paper yake ikuwe spoilt vote. Mimi napigia Miguna kura. Hatutashinda tumesumbuliwa na upus ndogo ndogo kama matatu
mediocrity or not, kuna swali mimi huuliza na hakuna mtu wa team miguna ashawahi nijibu,
Being as it is, Miguna is an independent candidate. How will he run the city without the numbers in the county assembly to protect and back him up?
take for example, Nyeri county; the president himself had to plead with mca’s to pass bills in order to enable the running of the county.
my conclusion therefore is:
[ul]
[li]Miguna will be the most corrupt governor as he will have to bribe the mca’s for protection.[/li][li]He will not survive a day in office because the 1st order of business will be to impeach him, which btw will sail thru’ unopposed.[/li][li]In the slimmest possibility that he goes thru’, atajua hajui[/li][/ul] @Abba na @Jazzman I will appreciate your input on the above.
Nimeachia hapo Kwa Underground rail system aka Tube system.
Another fantasist in my opinion.
If I was allowed to vote for the next Nairobi governer, I would vote for anyone promising to just CLEAN UP the tip that has become of Nairobi!
Bins in the right places and tidy safe streets are enough to open up Nairobi to all other forms of direct investment that would bring tubes and trams into the infrastructure.
Shemeji kwanza jambo ni siku mingi…I’ll summarize it real quick, what you are saying is valid but shida ni you are making an assumption based to future predictions. To you unasema “he will be the most corrupt because …” sio “his track record shows that he was the most corrupt. So when in power he will continue being …”
People form coalition governments. The newly elected french president comes from a party that has no elective seats kwa parliament, but does that make him an ineffective/corrupt leader? No.Let him get power and he will form coalition na odm or jubilee mca’s to make things happen ? That’s a possibility too.
Nimeenda kwa donation ,hakuna option ya paybill. I don’t do online funds transfer . Niko na upungufu na online stuffs . I’ll wait till aweke paybill option
Underground system is very much possible though it would cost a lot of money. I agree with you though, Nairobi is filthier compared to five years ago. The mentality needs to change for the city to be livable. I will vote for him though.
Sonko has a Heart to heart contract with the downtroden of nairobi The people who realy require a semblace of equality in resources compared to the leafy surburbs elite. I think he is the right guy unless he defaults on that contract
