Those two are one and the same thing. It’s that simple.
It is only in Kenya where the president will say, “What do you want me to do?” on such a manageable issue such as graft
From PLO to Matemo, seems you touch the wrong guy, you leave
The constitution does not allow the president to fight graft!
What does the constitution allow the president to do, pick his nose while complaining about corruption.
Yet again the constitution was there before he got in to power soo he knew wat he got himself in to. Yet again juu he cant fight corruption and between changing the constitution and changing the presidency the latter is more easy then aende home tutafte mtu can fight corruption with this constitution.
I see that as a valid question.
The question was directed at the judiciary and prosecution departments. Its not the president’s jurisdiction to prosecute…and there’s nothing much he can do if those two departments don’t find any evidence to prosecute…
Mimi nimeshasema elsewhere na nitasema tena; constitution ni excuse. The president can fight corruption akitaka. Na kutuuliza nini tunataka afanye ni upumbavu of the first order.
He doesn’t want to annoy the other side and that is his undoing. Huko kuna watu wana Kanu mentality with a very strong sense of entitlement.
He even goes further to defend it.
Its also a tool to fight devolution by anti-reformers, who didn’t read the constitution.
Ludicrous
Does he not defend the goings on at NYS even to date?
Jubilee government is more corrupt than the moi regime, they took 2yrs to root equal amount which moi took 24yrs. To steal
Eti you are the president and you stand infront of people asking them what they want you to do about it ! si you just resign!
Then he hires shaddy ppl like henry kosgei. First step in fighting graft is not hiring corrupt ppl in govt.
The reason why developing countries are unable to fight graft is that they are held captives by their friends, donors, investors, contractors, fellow politicians and there is little any one can do to fight the system.
Or what can you do? Hang people like in the Philippines?
America under Roosevelt was as corrupt as we are.
Give UK his due.He is fighting the entrenched system but you lazy bones condemn everything
I love Ktalk very much, for our genuine anti corruption spirit! We’re saints!
How exactly has he fought corruption? Which interventions has his government introduced that were not there in the previous regime?
Acknowledging u have a problem is the first step in solving a problem. My question though was what would you do different?
I was taught by Dr.Nyandemo…development Economics please read about this subject and understand the elephant in the room
For a start NYS programmes to be stopped and investigated. Actually that is a cash cow for the few. Angalia Kiunjuri sasa 20million ata kula tu as we still continue outdoing each other here in the village with our’really noble ideas of tackling corruption’.This site is very rich when it comes to ideas, unfortunately no one takes us serious apart from ourselves.
