FIGHTER JETS

Dude those fighter aircraft are old and cant even approach a properly armed target. Period. Siku hizi kuna F15, F16, F18, F22 and such, which we probably cant afford given our priorities. US has B52 and challenger nations do not have an equivalent. Na tena wana B2 Spirit. dont misrepresent things that US are stuck with B52. Russia and chinese have developed their own newer aircraft and counter tech. Usijaribu kutuambia ati ni wajinga.

Thank you for the edutainment.
I didn’t say we buy the latest equipment. However, we need to upgrade. The kind of money stolen in this country can be used for this instead.

All in all, we can’t claim to have no enemies when the whole world is armouring. What happens when the so called neighbours go ham on us? We have to be able to equably respond to that force

Evidence? Sketch? Mbisha? Even an eye witness account is submissible.

The case of speaking and forgetting to consult professor google.

Kenya can comfortably afford F-15, F-16, F-18. Those three sio za juzi, the F-16 first flew in 1974, the F-15 in 1972 and the F-18 in 1978. Did you look at the numbers and thought they are significantly younger than the F-5E (1975)? The planes have undergone several mid-life updates in order to keep them abreast with developing technology. Have you looked at the F-5M? You will swallow your words.

Another case of not consulting google. Russia has the Tu-95 and China the Xian H-6, the B-52’s agemates.

Again, simple googling would have helped a lot. Different aircraft have different purposes. A B-2 is supposed to slip unnoticed into enemy airspace take out targets and return without being discovered. A B-52 is a bomb truck and carries waaaaayyy more weapons, a wiiiiider variety, flies waaay further than a B-2 and costs waaaay less to operate. If you were the military planner and facing budget cuts, which one would you use?! Due to the collapse of the USSR, there was no longer a need for aircraft like the B-2 and only 20 are in service

Military aircraft are built as needed. The B-52 has agemates in the Tu-95 and Xian H-6. The B-1 has the Tu-160. The plane is just a delivery platform, the payload is what matters.

A plane is just a delivery platform, the payload is what matters. South Africa upgraded and their jets are in storage yet they have a bigger economy? Who were they going to attack or defend themselves against when they are in good terms with their neighbours?

There are other ways to win a war, even without loss of life. Go read what kenyatta did to Idi Amin. However at the moment, KDF is better equipped in this neighbourhood. Usodanganywe na Su-27 ama Su-30 na your people keep defecting when they get the chance or have very few of your supposed fearsome weapon.

Wewe chumvi ndio mingi. Ata kama mko military huwezi tudanganya hapa. F5 is an old aircraft unveiled in the 50s and the rest 1970s except for f22, 2005. ata hiyo F5E generation ni modification ya kuongezwa 1972. We have what we can afford.
And to avoid getting caught lying unapost paragraphs of irrrevant information in your reply comment.

Unit COST
f5 $2.1 million
f15 $27.9/29 million
f16 $18/14 million
f18 $29 million
f22 $150 million

Information is everywhere dude. monopoly ended with the interwebs.

You forgot to read those paragraphs. The F-5A was a private project with a limited production run. The E was a redesign and more than 3000 built with a few sold to Kenya as well. There is a big difference between the F/A-18 and F/A-18E/F as well as F-15 and F-15E as well. A simplified google search; Hornet vs Super Hornet, google loves specifics and so do I. The devil is in the details. Sio kukosa kusoma na kuanza ku-accuse watu wametumia chumvi.

That is you saying ni za siku hizi, not me. When caught in a lie, kubali. Accusations make you look petty.

Information is everywhere on the interwebs, I never had a monopoly however it still eludes you as with the B-52’s and jets za “Siku hizi”

We have what we need. If Kenya would have had a different neighbourhood, priorities would be different. The teen fighters are not out of reach for Kenya.
