I believe that the “Powers” and the current purge on corruption and impuntity is to cleanse Ruto for 2012. If legacy has it, it was a second thought. Many of the things done or uttered in the recent past are to portray Ruto as the misconceived man. Earlier last month, Moses Kuria claimed to have owned the Choppers that fly Ruto around. Southend was claimed to be Rutos and its demolition shows its not his. The planned and highly publicised Taj Mall demolition is the other denouncement. After its demolished, the debate will shift to Weston. Surprisingly, other shareholders will crop up, and Ruto will not be the major shareholder. His interests will be minor. This plan, is played in the political powers, and the media and journalism will play to it with naivity.
Before they made us believe that Kidero owned the Prism tower. Today we know he doesn’t. The Taj Mall owner has now come in public to claim it, while Media has brainwashed us to belief it is Ruto’s https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2018/08/14/ruto-doesnt-own-taj-mall-building-says-trader-gorasia_c1801831 . The same media had made us believe Ruto onwed Southend Mall https://www.kenya-today.com/news/true-owner-demolished-south-end-mall-langata-road-jubilee-politician .
The media and journalism has been toyed with and played by the power to create narratives that shape the public opinion. And they cannot know that. Early this year, the Jubilee bloggers created a narrative that Sonko was a failure, they tweeted all manner of pictures, the media and journalists picked it up, and it was a public debate. When Sonko could not be impeached (despite the fact that impeachment was ready), the bloggers got tired, and the narratives exited even the media. Now sonko is a hero. During campaigns, the Media made Kiambu womens believe that Kabogo underrated their Panties, and supported Waititu. Now the people are crying their choices due to propaganda.
My point is, the Kenyan journalism and media, is not profesional. Today their news are picked up from blogs and people opinions. The era of when journalisms could labor to get information is no longer there. An idiot journalist could write a headlining article from the conform of their beds and downloading images from social media as evidence (look at the image below). But, the people are even worse. They dont know shit. They just believe. Like today we are applauding Uhuru for ferking demolitions, yet media will not tell us that in the last two months, the price of a unit of power has doubled that this increased my monthly power bill from 950 to 1500, the cost of fuel has gone up almost 30%, the fair has risen 30%, the landlord gave me a notice of 2K rent hike or i vacate in 30 days. Yet, my net income has not gone a single percent.
