1, in the Rome statute,it is clear that the accused must be present during any final decision by the bench,as we are all aware,hon Ruto is in the country and the bench allowed him to skip the sitting,Why was he allowed to skipped it if the announcement will be final???
2,Pres. uhuru is in France and Germany trying to lobby the 2 countries to stand with Kenya against the ICC, why would the president look for " friends" if the ICC was to drop the cases today???..
the cases are here to stay.
first this is not the trial, it was a No case to answer motion that was brought by the defense team. so all those rules failed here. Just coz their may say there is No case to answer…it will rest with the prosecution if they will proceed with such a ruling given by the court. Boss tulia

There will forever be room for precedence! But then which other case, similar to the Kenyan cases, has the same court tried, where the defendant is not in custody?
I suspect Uhuru France trip is an appeasement for Total to change their stand of preferring the Tanga route for Ugandan oil…compared to our cheaper route. if it works expect some further reaction from our TZ ‘friends’

This was a political case decided in the boardroom and ended in the boardroom. The rest was just sideshows. I knew when President Uhuru was invited to Paris by his french president and later to Berlin to the powers of EU then it was over. They sat and agreed to make Kenya an example of their new power tool called ICC. They couldn’t arrest President Kibaki and raila without causing major upheaval in Kenya so they settled on scapegoats. They underestimated the resolve of the accused, their supporters and prayers. Biased civil activists procured and coached witnesses for the prosecution and wrote statements on their behalf. Orengo, Anyang Nyongo, Mutula, Karua worked to fix different members of the coalition. UhuRuto was formed, formed Jubilee, countered the narrative home and at the hague and 6 years later its done. It was never about victims justice but power games to control the geo-political interests of master. $10 million a year has been a gravy train to activists that now ends. Houses bought, many wives acquired, property and investments made but no mention of victims from the same loud defenders of ICC. So far only gov has settled +50,000 victims through several rounds of compensation. 21 witnesses testified, all failed the test of truth and accuracy. 10 recanted. 3 forcefully dragged to ICC chambers but refused to even acknowledge their names let alone their testimony. 4 presented themselves to dutch authorities seeking asylum from the same ICC witness protection officers and prosecutors for being forced to testify on lies that they were promised would never be admitted in court. The dutch authorities after investigations wrote to ICC saying its against Dutch and EU law to force a witness to testify on a claim they have confessed as untrue. They walked free, with their assumed names and ICC cant do a thing.
Why was France so keen on ICC Kenya cases. Simply because its sets precedence in their own instigated case of Ivory coast where former President Gbagbo is undergoing a harsh form of victors justice. France got spooked when Kenya rallied 50 AU nations to withdraw fro ICC and end every cooperation. The moment they started giving feeders of soft touch and cooperation from ICC then they gave away their hidden hands on ICC. At the end the counter moves and determinations shown wore down the master especially at ASP. When britain walked away from EU position ended and so was the resistance. When EU brussels ministers started trooping to DP offices and residence, i knew the negotiations had started. World politics 101.
