Sorry folks yesterday I got a bit held up couldnt continue exposing the guy who is living a very fake life. I will spill the beans today, but I will not mention names, staki kuhandwa na makarau.
Back in college, the ninja got an opportunity to elevate himself. We all rallied behind him and he was lucky to emerge as the winner, and thats who his woes started. Immediately after this, his life changed drastically. He started changing his lifestyle all of a sudden. We were happy that our friend was now rich and he would occasionally be spoiling his friends with random Friday booze sessions, but this was not to be. The ninja kept becoming so secretive and avoiding our company, in fact, you hardly found him in school after classes. We didnt have a problem with this. A few months later, he came to the hostels driving a RangeRover. We were happy as his friends that we would, for the first time, get lifts occasionally on a Rangerover. That was never to be, as the boy became so busy all the time. But we never understood what was happening.
He started living very flashy lifestyles. First, he bought a laptop bag made of crocodile skin from Dubai, he showed us receipts that indicated that the bag had cost him about Kshs. 148,000/=. We were shiocked!! How could he afford to buy such a thing, drive a rangerover, own the latest Samsung phone. Personally I was glad seeing things that I had never seen in my life. I didnt know that a crocodile skin bag can cost that much. There was a time, he showed us bundles of American Dollar notes, at 20 , it was my first time seeing a 100 dollar bill. Everytime we asked him where he got the money, or any business that he was doing, he would laugh at us sheepishly and try to avoid the story.
That then became his lifestyle. He rarely associated with us. He was now a very classy guy, by this time, he was spinning a certain BMW 320i. Folks, this was around 2010-2011 ,so you can imagine what a 320i meant then. The sad thing, though, is that he became reclusive and avoided us at all costs. Fast forward, we coould see the guy hanging out with celebrities (among the biggest media personalities), infact some media personalities would big up him on their shows. He was now a very very classy boy. By then he had stopped living in the hostels and was rumoured to be living in Kilimani. There was a time, he showed us receipts he had bought shoes worth an equivalent of Kshs. 42,000/ while in Italy. Personally, i was so glad that i had seen shoes worth 420 dollars with my own eyes.
And then he reached the epitome of his success. His social media accounts were full of pictures of the guy comfortably lounging in Emirates business class. The ninjawould be heading to Europe this week, next month he would be in Dubai, the month after that he would be in Brazil. This far, nobody knew what he was doing to finance his travels and lavish lifestyle. He never worked nor is he from a very rich family. To further prove his class, the boy only travelled on Emirates Business Class. We knew that the money was too much when he showed us pics of his Business Class trip from Nairobi to a certan city in Kenya. Mark you, 97.52% of us hadnt even been on a flight.
All of a sudden he started frequenting golf courses, and he became a master. He followed key golfing tournaments in Africa, and you would see him almost every month attending or playing golf in South Africa, Egypt, Mauritius, Morrocco, Zimbabwe. Folks, this was a guy who we had all joined college as peasants. He would upload pics on his social media of him playing golf in very classy joints, that even a rich kenyan man would find it hard paying for membership in such clubs. But mysteriously, he managed.
He started following Formula 1. In 2016, he attended almost all circuits of Formula 1. All these, he travelled via Emirates Business Class. At this time, he had cut links completely with us, we were just left observing. He, infact, has a pic with Lewis Hamilton at an after party in Dubai following the Abu Dhabi series. He simply bonds with the mighty in the society. Whenever artists came to Kenya, he would always attend the concerts VIP. To this date, no one knows what he does, he has no known business, and his family is just ordinary. His dad once revealed to a friend that he was concerened and worried about the source of his son’s money. The old ailing man said that he was very uncomfrtable with his son living a strange lifestyle. He is yet to come into terms with these events.
To further prove his oppulence, the ninja would randomly fly to Europe, and specifically England just to have fun. He has attended more than 20 games at Old Trafford, he posts the pics online, thats how we know. He actually visited all the top 4 team grounds and attended so many games there. The boy has actually toured all the countries in Europe. All these he travels in the most expensive hotels and doing Emirates Business Class only. For instance, in 2017, we would say that he spent half of the year in Dubai, Brazil and California.
He balls big. As of last year, he had 3 cars, a Rangerover Sport, Merecdes E Class and a BMW x6. He posts all these pics online, though one one can really confirm is they are his, but i suspect that they maybe his. He is rumoured to own several apartments. But no one, not even his brothers and sisters know what he does. He is not employed, doesnt do any business but he is always seen in the company of Kenyan celebrities. All the Tanzanian bongo artists know him as they party together all the time.
One of his friends who used to live in Ruaka was chased away by the landlord after he noticed that he had a funny lifestyle always changing cars and hanging out with very many men.
It was rumoured initially that a certain Tanzanian woman cougar was funding his lifestyle. No one could prove that. He was rumored to be gay for hire. People suspect this is his hassle. Could he be into trafficking drug? Someone suspected him of that. We cant authoritatively condemn him, but what we just wish him the best. As a former college mate, I wouldn’t be happy if he starts getting poor. Am wishing that he has invested the money well. Lately, things seem to be getting murkier. The trips to Dubai are no longer frequent. The golf trips, are reducing drastically. May he never fall from grace to grass as he will be depressed. I once advised him to start some legit business, at least, so that in case someone decides to audit him, even in the future, he will be on the safe side. As to whether he will heed that advice, its up to him.
