Philippines department of immigration has this evening deported President Uhuru’s son, Muhoho Kenyatta over drug trafficking charges.
In a statement to reporters on Friday evening, Philippines Police officers of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group said Muhoho was arrested with two others on their arrival at the custom duty entrance where they refused inspection of their laggages claiming it was a “VIP laggage”.
They were charged with disorderly conduct and drugs trafficking and booked into Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport police station at 4.20pm on Thursday afternoon before Manila court ordered their deportation on Friday afternoon.
“After a careful evaluation of the herein information and all the evidence presented during the preliminary investigation conducted in this case by the Department of Justice, Manila, the Court finds sufficient probable cause for the issuance of deportation order against all the accused Mr.Muhoho Kenyatta, Kamau Wambugu and John Waweru,” Guerrero said in her deportation order.
Manila Superintendent James Barbers said is committed to ensure foreign politicians won’t make campaign money from Filipinos.
“Philippines won’t be a dumping site of drugs, Foreign politicians have developed habit of coming here to sell drugs to harvest their campaigns money. We do not care their status or positions, all we care is safety of Filipinos.” Said James Barbers.
They were booked to board Emirates Flight 335. The three are expected to land in the country on Saturday evening.
