In Kenya, getting away with economic crime charges is easy. You don’t have to be president. Just be a big fish. Hold a senior position. Be a friend to the authority. Ata ukiiba Kenya yote the courta will take you nowhere.
In Kenya we can’t even jail those found guilty in other jurisdictions so quit the day dreams.

If we cannot convict smaller fish such as the Kamani brothers or extradite wanted persons, how do we expect to convict an ex-President? Are you aware that former President Moi as part of the government’s defense before an international tribunal admitted to receiving a US$2 million bribe?
It is now too late to prosecute such a matter even if it was to go after the $2m but until we can send Jimi, Kamanis, Perera to prison we can forget about such fantasies.
