Life is short, she woke up this morning with good intentions of creating some political mileage by whipping up emotions of hawkers and appearing to sympathize with their plight by being in the front line of a demo against the county government, and as fate would have it, that supposedly good deed (or selfish deed depending on how you look at it) ended up being her one way ticket to the gates of ST peter.

Ngilu and Mwangangi were holding hands when the speeding engine appeared. Her bodyguard shoved Mrs Ngilu as the truck swept off the ex-mayor and sped on. Ngilu and Mrs Mwangangi had addressed rioting crowds in ongoing Kitui riots. Residents are protesting the demolition of their kiosks.Tension is high in Kitui town.
