Ndii is a conman economist. Saying that SGR needs 50 trains a day to pay its debt.
I’m not an economist but that’s a very shallow way of analyzing things.
First of all, SGR is not a private enterprise to be measured in terms of revenue and profit.
SGR will not pay its debt. The Kenyan government will.
SGR was not built to generate revenue. But rather to have far reaching consequences. eg.
Saving transport time.
Saving transport cost.
Saving road infrastructure.
Opening up the interior for industrialization
General growth in the GDP
etc.
Over a period of say 50-100 years, the effect of the SGR will be without doubt.
When industrial products from Naivasha start streaming to Mombasa, what will Ndii say?
In the end, Ndii will not even get a footnote in history books.

KENYA!!! Aliyewaroga alikufa, do yo know how much it costs to drill a borehole in Msa? Around 150k (that’s right, I’m originally from 001 and my folks dug one in their compound) because the water bed is close compared to up country plus it’s salty as fuck. So, drilling a borehole that doesn’t even pipe water to resident’s houses (just a tap so that people can queue with jerricans!!!) and putting up bulbs is what you are making all this noise about???. Guess that is how low our expectations as voters are…
