Ensuing covid upshot on youth.

The economic shake of the pandemic will be especially harsh for the youth. For instance, hapa kenya most of the youth population is low-skilled, and likely to struggle in any economic downturn. And many of the SMEs where youth find employment are at risk of collapse, if effective measures to respond to COVID-19 are not implemented it will be doom.
In urban areas we have created some semblances of community that foster relationships lacking depth and durability that makes it easy to avoid people and family that one deems uncomfortable. Many have postponed marriage and starting a family for financial reasons. They are also burdened by student helb debt and contend with increasingly unaffordable housing.
Not to mention that they are uninsured and with no any form of social protection. It is also sad to mention that most of us have not been saving sustainably.
Am not a naysayer but am predicting massive migration of youth back to the rural areas in a few months .
When did you visit ushago last??

job losses are already massive…last week alone I have counted atleast 3 young ladies who have lost their jobs

You can only imagine what is going to happen to them…
The worst hit sector is hospitality which employs a quite a majority of the young workforce.
I feel for them
