Electric cars in Kenya

After watching this feature, i must say by the look of things it will be one of the best things to own one in kenya. But here comes the KRA problem and the oil cartels that will make it hard to import one.
Tesla has made it in quite a number of countries and i believe if they set up base here or in SA or Egypt, things will change.

I may have been dreaming, but i will swear by a stack of holy books that the week before last, i say an Xtrail that didnt have an exhaust pipe, and its vrooom, mgurumo, was of a a very quiet motor. I followed it on foot coz it was just cruising slowly for kidu three minutes, then i backed off not to arouse suspicion. But i swear that car was electric…i know cars.
Sevondly, hapa mombasa, there are many electric Tuk Tuks…zinauzwa pale Sega Majengo

Daddy hiyo inaitwa xtrail hybrid.when moving slowly they cut off mafuta and use battery and when high speed they cut off battery and use mafuta and charges the battery meanwhile .

The only nissan that I know is fully electric is NISSAN LEAF. I’m a nissan fun and I bought mama a nissan teanna. Good strong cars.

And about electric cars in Kenya ,mmm they will be slapped with higher taxes because of oil cartels and govt super taxes they get from petrol and dithro (diesel)

Tesla should be the car to go by. It’s a class of its own .shida ni there are no mechanical shops to fix electric cars incase of issues hapa kenya

After-sales service?

Yes that one. …that’s the one I meant Luther

This is the way to go, I saw a short clip of a guy transforming his vehicle to use hydrogen ,basically water.
Simple physics I was a amazed and it burns cleaner and silent than petrol.
The cartels will always be a hindrance .

Weka link.

Si basi unapelekea tu mtu wa stima ama unamuita kwako.

It cost not less than $3000 to fix an avarage electrical fault kwa tesla .that’s a lifetime pension money ya mtu WA stima…hope you get it

See, you have quoted the repair amount in dollars.
When it comes to here and we do it the Kenyan way, the amount will be in shillings and way much lower.

That’s 300,000 .I’m in Kenya by the way thought you should know .

The real Kenya ya Kirinyaga Road, that’s the one I mean not Karen.

Nakaa kasarani

Tena, looks nice but I don’t know much about them. Si uangushe uzi ya your experience with it.

I’ll find it and post it in sha Allah

Just one problem kwa jam it takes a lot of petrol but kwa highway very very little , it’s a strong car 2.7cc. Pick up speed is high but madam never likes it that’s it’s too fast for her . Parts are available here and there but has sensors all over

Lexus 450h do the same, they crawl on electric power, but still Tesla is the crown jewel of electric cars in my opinion

i know nothing about the teana too… they say its very problematic… i really dnt knw how true this is.

and charging stations as well

watu husema the major problem with Nissan cars ni hizo sensors
