Nacada role is to administer alcohol and drugs in Kenya not to affect the non-users i.e under 18’s and those who over use it. However their work isn’t to ban it. Only Parliament as the people representatives can do that. Trying to ban alcohol during the election period is not their mandate or legal. However they can do a civic education campaign during the period to persuade people to skip it or drink moderately in the same period.
