Election Manenos To Ponder

  1. Its a shame that almost 60 years since independence, we still print our ballot papers outside the country. We pay billions through the nose to white skinned foreigners in the stupid belief that they will do a better and ‘safer’ job printing silky symbols of cockerers, pangas, tractors and wheelbarrows. Why dont those white skinned fellas give us their ballots to print when their time comes? Last time it was arabs, im told this time its the greeks. May i remind you that in this country we print millions of newspapers overnight and by morning they are on sale in every corner of the country. Furthermore, we also print the all sensitive currency right here in ruaraka. If we can print currency, what’s a mere ballot. Total failure of our political class, as usual mwafrika kazi ni ku import hata toothpicks.

  2. Some bonobo politicians want us to remain in the dark ages of ink and paper. Fact is, we have to go the technological way without looking back until we get it right. Insisting that a manual register that is a printout of the digital one be availed for use is pure nonsense. On this i castigate raila for attempting to keep this country in the dark ages forever. I always wonder where his so called ‘IT Expert’ of 2017 went, the guy who sensationary claimed that Iebc servers had been hacked. The false suspicion and mistrust that they created over electronic management of elections mean that it remains difficult to convince everyone that digitization is the way to go just like in everything else be it banking, taxation, information and government services. Fact is Uhuruto had beaten them clean. By now we should be thinking of having people vote on their phones at home sio kupanga line hama kondoo na ku mark makaratasi kama watoto. Do not vote for that old geezer just for that.

  3. I still insist this exercise is a bonobo exercise. The leaders we will get are the same non visionary looters. Parties with ideologies do not exist. The political parties and manifestos thwy are using to get to power will be discarded soon after August nine. Unless we go for parliamentary system of government like in Uk, we are stuck bonobos. For that reason i am not participating in this shambolic exercise. Whoever the majority bonobos all over will choose, i will accept and move on.
