Build the road when it’s dry and be amazed when it rains.

this was a very beautiful road kumbe it was only skin deep

common sense should tell you that a laaga, those dry depressions in ASAL areas, will be raging rivers when it rains and make provisions for them…

Maybe the life span of the road was <5yrs,just saying

@Victor are you a roads engineer by chance?

was it really? could it have been, really? do not forget this is one of the roads built to boost trade in the EAC, linking Northeastern TZ to the Port of Msa…

In another life I was

with kirinyaga construction?

Leta hekaya

Road design factors a lot of parameters, some like the elnino phenomenon may have been missed by the designers

Hehe would have wished kufanya kazi huko, maybe ningekuwa na beach plot mahali

Hekaya ya hiyo life ni kuchora kitabu

A fellow I know used to work with MoPW as a roads engineer. Used to regale me with tales about ‘50-year floods’ considerations that they’d take into account when designing roads and bridges. Sadly, he opted to resign rather than lose his life for opposing the myriad of corrupt practices then bedeviling that department.

Where did that swindler go? Populary known as Maina wa Kirinyaga.

he built a sewer in bungoma for two decades…@uwesmake did he ever complete it?

Maybe kampuni ilibadilishwa Jina, some directors own upto 5 different companies in the same industry

and they dare call themselves designers? some of these things are matters of commonsense that even us laymen can see…

Hao ndio wenye nchi mzeiya
