Egerton

Egerton University scraps 8 degree courses to remain economically afloat; they include dairy technology, wildlife management, forest resources, aquatic science

Very good. They always knew the courses were Meffi.

Dairy Technology? Are they mad! Poor management of Guildford Dairy (the actual name of their Dairy and food science department that includes the dairy factory) was vibrant but poor management drove it down.

Kuna zingine kama NARE (natural resources) , HOMEC (home economics).

Hata hizo ni @useless.
Watu wa AGEN (Agricultural Engineering) were the most overworked class ever. Starting at 5am kukamua ngombe, lectures zinaisha 7pm.

Then after 6 years jamaa anaenda kuwa dereva wa tinga.
Egerton has huge resources but is highly mismanaged.
Tatton and Ngongogeri farms should be feeding Nairobi with all kinds of foods and vegetables.
Guildford Daiiry should be competing with Brookside.

Yaani kulikuwa mpaka na degree ya kutengeneza mala? Let Kenyans pursue degree courses from reputable universities.

Mimi nalaumu wazazi wenye huuza ng’ombe wapeleke watoto wasome forestry and catering kama degree.

A guy who does AGEN and end up struggling has a very low EQ and deserves to struggle

True. That course is very inclusive. You would find the students doings units in Maths, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Economics, Sociology, Education and even Languages and Linguistics.

Egerton should have stuck to horticulture hii ingine waachane nayo…KU nayo should stick to training our teachers

True, my cousin is making serious money from that course…sai yeye ni bigwig mambo ya green house.

Engineering students kick ass in ICT, Procurement, Accounting, Auditing, Logistics, project management etc beside the traditional Engineering . When I see an accountant CV of a CPA with Engineering and CPA with Commerce, my first choice is always the one with engineering degree.

Anything Kipmeno touch turns to dust garbage/waste

Turedio naona unaelewa Egerton kabisa.

Hiyo Guildford Dairy is really underutilized. They can give Delamere a run for their money. Their mastery of making yoghurt is top notch.

Their veterinary department iko sawa though. Most of their graduates are running agrovets across the country.

Agricultural engineering department should be doing better.

An agricultural University scrapping the Dairy technology degree? Hii ni kama KCA University scrapping B.Com. Sad.

Hiyo yogurt yao I remember in the 90s hapo nakuru ilikuwa inatambulika tulikunywa sana.

I was a student there for 5 years Mdau
I know that place and its sorrounding ghettos like the back of my hand

siwezi fanya engineering alafu nifanye CPA afadhali nibaki unemployed

CPA to an engineer is child’s play

and now they are about to ascend to CENTRAL BANK
