I hear that it is now three months since the staff at Egerton University downed their tools. This is utterly unfair for the innocent students. The government should move with speed and solve this issue.
Hawa lecturers sahii wanakula nini? Last time tulichangia @Lecturer pesa anagalau akule ugali moto
Na vile the university had some respect - needs to be reformed. Nikiskia story ya Lord Egerton, natami kulia na kucheka at the same time.

Universities become get rich schemes , crazy tenders , egerton are in a serious financial hole they want to sell land that was meant for reserch to offset it and even that will be a drop in the ocean !
This bastards are 6 billion in debt with a 200million a month wage bill !!! How the hell does a university have a 200million wage bill how many employees does it have ? Just like Moi university this bastards have slaughtered the golden goose and surprised when they are hungry the next day !
You bail them out now, you have to keep bailing them every three years. The government will become a cash cow. There’s only two solutions. One shut it down. Two. Let let government sell the institution. Have nothing to do with it.
Students should pay the full cost of tuition and living expenses to enable universities have the necessary funds to run and be operational.
How do you expect a university to run with students paying 16 k per semester yet you want world class university s?
We have given up the right to kill thieves and beat up those who do not pay our debts. We have also agreed to and we pay VAT, PAYE, Excise Duty, Withholding Tax, Customs Duty, Turnover Tax, Minimum Tax, Digital Services Tax, Residential Rental Income Tax, and Capital Gains Tax. Surely, the government has more than enough money to provide its overtaxed citizens with world-class education. In fact, the government has enough money to provide free health care, social welfare and free primary, secondary and university education.
The institution is struggling (because of Covid impact) and the government as well is under pressure from World Bank (because of Covid loans) to close all struggling institutions including public universities to pay back their money. Rushing to shut down the economy without thinking was a big mistake and we will continue to pay the price for years to come.
