Effective Way To Lower Cost Of Power In Failed State Kenya

Electricity in Kenya will remain costly if the aim of the policy makers is to make electricity for home consumption, what Ruto calls Kuunganisha Stima or in Technical terms the Last Mile.

The Primary consumer of electric power should be factories and other manufacturers. Let say for example in a small town such as Emali, they should setup a Mango processing factory in the interior and as they supply it with 3 Phase power lines the homes within can tap their single phase supply. If this model is replicated in every county then we would have lower electricity because it will be used for production.

Another thing is to revive ALL sugarmills which will inturn produce their own power and sell excess to the national grid

So how will that lower electricity cost

Trickle down effect achieved by manufacturing goods in Kenya thereby keeping the elusive dollar within Kenya’s boarders

First of all you cannot call kenya a failed state, 2. Kenya is not even at top 10 most expensive electricity in Africa. With zero rated solar pv equipment and friendly regulations everyone has liberty to choose.

Ruto hatambui trickle down:D:D

Nani alisema solar products are zero rated na juzi tu walikuwa wanaziongeza tax?

Ni kama Yeye anatambua Trickle Up ONLY

Trickle down economics has been a successful form of economics in major developing countries. E.g in the US, big corporations are exempted from some taxes and in turn they make sure that effect is felt by people. Works most of the time.

Ndio maana we will keep insisting degree ni muhimu sana. You make so many assumptions na pia ignorance.

  1. Industrial and commercial concerns are already the biggest consumers of electricity at 60% and 70 % of revenue

2.Kenya Power does not generate electricity. It sells whatever it gets from IPPs and Kengen at a mark up.Wakigongwa unataka wafanye nini?

  1. Many tea and Sugar factories already generate their own power

There are other things that we could talk about like the 30% transmission and distribution losses but siwezi waste time na diploma holders.

Degree muhimu sana.

Hapa, Tuko Bottom - Up, Bro.

This is the only practical and effective way to reduce power bills. The rest ni armchair theories na minyambo ya base za jaba

Low IQ workmanship and cable management

Sina degree ya workmanship but it powers everything in my home except the shower

Where can one get lithium batteries in Kenya? Huko amazon i see them going for $309. One time you said you import them from germany. Hizo za germany pesa ngapi?

Alafu ni KPLC walikia wana chochea hio manano ati juu solar inaiharibia market.

Kenya is a world leader in renewable energy and so our power should be the cheapest in the world. Water, geothermal, wind and solar are free.

Lakini Erikana saa zingine unaongeanga matope. Kenya a failed state? Do you know people in Lebanon make do with 2 hours of electricity per day?

so one county one product azimio idea was genius?

the Enigma is high iq

You just vindicated me with that screenshot, yet you keep on ranting.

Paragraph 2 says it all.

You spend $10 importing pencils that would have been locally for $4 you bleed the scarce FX and multiply poverty to the consumers of those goods
