Usman did not do enough. He fought very cautiously. He had not recovered fully from his first loss, and rushed back. Plus his bad knees prevents him from doing a lot.
He was cautious not to run into another head kick. Leon also held back a little bit and he also cheated by using the fence as support. Gaethje was a master piece. He even took down Fiziev his first ever take down in UFC.
I think he needs to take 6 months to heal. Imagine he was less than a minute away in fight 2. And now 0-2 because of that careless mistake. He’s a better fighter if he fights like fight 1 and 2. Basically pounding his opponent until it reduces chances of a headlock. Adesanya is heading the same way.
