Is there any Christian who is in support of ecumenism?
A Christian’s walk with God is all about sanctification. That means being set apart. Well, set apart according to what? The word of God. Jesus makes this clear in John 17:17-26. Also, by reading Psalms 119:151, we learn that all of God’s commandments are truth.
Ecumenism goes against biblical sanctification because most denominations still hold on to the pagan traditions of the Roman Catholic Church and many other strange doctrines.
And yes, we are not justified by the works of the law (Galatians 2:16) but the law is still good (Romans 7:12, Psalm 19:7) and we love God by keeping His commandments (John 14:15, Ecclesiastes 12:13).
