They can’t. They simply don’t have the numbers locally. Or how else are they supposed to achieve that against a nywele nguma nyeuthi population that out numbers them by a ratio of no less than 5-1 and that’s an hypothetically modest number, but the actual math if anyone can care do the math for us … I bet would be significantly higher.
They represent around 5-6% of the general population in Kenya, so unless they somehow align their beliefs systems with the rest of the nyeuthi population in many levels; culturally, religiously, socially, politically and economically among others … they have no chance whatsoever of taking power. Knowing somalis … that probably won’t happen in our lifetime. They rather die trying to impose their will on others than be assimilated into anyone’s else belief systems. And certainly not by nywele ngumu. For that reason they will remain a marginalised group for the foreseeable future.
Somali homeland population tho’ it has been on a rapid steady growth of about 3% per year foe atleast 5 years now, is at 17 mil. By 2050 it projected to be at 36 mil over a 100% increase. Hypothetically, even if 5-10 % managed to acquire Kenyan citizenship … they will be nowhere close to tipping the balance of power against a combined nyeuthi population.
