I have a package sent from UK using American Courier Express. What is the right process for clearance?

From my experience, you don’t personally interact with customs. Your courier service will clear everything for you. They will tell you how much is being demanded by customs, and you send them the money.

But I’ve only dealt with DHL.
Try to stick to courier services with a huge presence and offices here.
