Drive through from Kitale to Busia

I had the privilege of driving today from Eldoret, through to Kitale, then to Bungoma and finally to Busia.
The road from Kitale to Bungoma is one of the best roads in the country, the contractor did some excellent work there. Nice workmanship, good signage, nice paved and markets road. Big up to the contractor, am very sure he is not a Kenyan one. This section of Kenya has quite a good network of tarmacked roads.
Along the way, I noticed very good rural homes. You will see very small, but beautiful houses all the way through the route. Kumbe waluhya greatly value having a nice rural home. I have seen so many good homes, like never before. Is it the sugarcane that is facilitatig this, or whats the secret? I have been to all the counties in Kenya, and never before have i seen a stretch of road with so many nicely developed houses like the ones that dot his stretch.
Right now am in Busia, i think the most disorganized town in Kenya. Extremely disorganized, with no CBD, dark streets.
I could not take pictures as I was behind the wheel.

Picha bwana…hata kama ni za Google earth

I frequent that road although Mimi huingia eldi, kitale, webuye hadi kakamega…there is a stretch of about 5kms just before kakamega which had not been completed. Most of the houses ni za wanunuzi meaning they can afford to put up decent structures…na sio waluhyia pekee

Tafuta windscreen mount, then unaweza tumia phone kama dash cam…

Ok Sir, working on it

So the stretch is a sort of cosmopolitan? Like plenty of tribes doting the horizon?

Thanks for the idea

Duke,

Are you personally affronted na ni wewe ulitafuna pesa za devolution? Tengeneza mji pwana.

It is true Busia is a very disorganized town, even the Uganda side

So how do you know if a house ni ya mnunuzi when you are driving?

Hehe I knew a bukusu would come here breathing fire…anyway I participated in a national survey some time back and we found out the stretch between eldoret and kitale is very cosmopolitan…a sizeable number of people there have bought land (bakuli in kinyore). After the survey I decided to also buy land close to Ngaira’s.

Bado tunangojea mbica.

Hujajaribu hio stretch ya Busia - Malaba…The last 10KM to malaba karibu niwache sump guard…huyo contractor anabeba watu ufala sana…

Enyewe Busia is Shit…hio tao iko na street mbili tu! Main highway na hio ya kuenda Hosi pekee…
Dusty AF.

Na nani aliamua kubadilisha Tanaka to some funny name? that was my marker nilifika hapo nikachnganyikiwa yangu yote

Kama nyumba sio ya bricks ama haina finishing inakaa bricks haiwes kuwa ya mluiya

Busia is a growing town, am thinking of opening a stylish and executive car wash / barber shop. Think it will pick, that cownty has moneyed chaps I tell you…

:D:D na kama compound haina kuku wa kienyeji hio sio ya muluya
Pia ukiingia ndani ya nyumba na usione vitambaa kwa ‘viketi’ na pasia kwa muliango hapo sio kwa muluya

tumbaff!
