So some Kenyans are laughing at Tanzania about the selfie with the test-train laying on its side like a dead dog.
But Tanzanians are not in as much debt as we are in Kenya. And they just bought 6 planes from savings from austerity measures that Dr Magufuli introduced that saw the wasteful number of overseas flights drastically cut.
When Tanzania are building at their own pace we are borrowing Eurobonds and awarding MPs millions of taxpayer money while others are going to Russia to watch Worldcup on taxpayer funds.
hii dunia tuko hapa kwa muda ,halafu turudi kule tulitoka, only a fool plans for tomorrow
Buda you are an owner of rentals. Clearly you have planned for the financial stability of the next ten + years of your life
That bit of using funds from austerity measures is not true as its not supported by the budget. In fact he has allocated more funds estimated at $1 billion to his state house functions without naming any of those functions. So far $640 million of the missing funds has been traced to state house Dar. He then called the speaker to pull the plug on parliament investigation on it and for the first time in their history the audited accounts wouldn’t be published, investigated or debated in Parliament.

Good luck on Tanzania Airlines, they need planes for their own travels. 6 planes will do for their own needs. Now the big test is surviving the crucial first years as a start up before even considering you can compete with others. KQ started Precision air in Tz in the 2000 and it barely survived due to the low passengers numbers to maintain and operate its 737’s jets. They had to downgrade back to the turbo props ATR to stay flying and afloat. In 2013 Fast jet was launched with 5 airbus planes and designated the national airline. Its main attraction was cheaper fares. Its not down to 1 leased Embraer plane as the airbus planes proved to be too big for the low traffic numbers. They were making losses after losses until investors pulled out. Now its Tanzania national airline time to try the market as well. If they don’t get the right traffic numbers then they will continuously need Tz government to pay its bills to survive. So let’s await 5 years to see if it will be still here or not then we can talk about competition.
With Ethiopia Airlines to the North and Air Tanzania to the South, loss making KQ is as good as dead…
ngoja tu niglets tukuje ndio utajua hata jioni ya siku utapangia, wacha ya kesho
mungu atanijaria, hata manna wana Wa Israel walikuwa wanaokota ile wangekula hio siku
They don’t make losses. Money is eaten and the government fills the hole. Its something planned. And they can’t collapse it 100%,
Scientifically speaking there have been around 3.543-1 billion tomorrows. So hiyo kitu inaitwa tomorrow does happen with extremely high probability.

You like complaining about debts n cum 2022 you will be the same sycophants voting for Loot All. Debts are here to stay wait till Looter bcm prezzo ndio mutafahamu debt ni nini.
Boss, you think a plane costs 200 million? What about 6 planes? a fairly new Embraer costs about 3 billion1!!!
It’s not like Raila is protesting the taking of Eurobonds so trying to make this a partisan issue will not work.
You were right. air Tz dreamliner was not flown for several months. Six months. It was just parked at Dar airport. They bought it last year in June, forgot to get agreements, permissions and permits to fly to international routes. This year they started flying it to Arusha and Mwanza. A 787 doing domestic short haul routes :D:D:D. This was after advice that the plane engines can’t be allowed to stay idle for long periods. So they flew the few dozen passengers each time at a loss since their air ticket sales can’t even pay for the fuel.:D:D.
From June they will start their maiden flights outside the country after getting permits to fly to Jo’burg and India. One year after purchase. China and other Asia destination needs more years to get permits as the process needs to follow certification and bilateral air flight agreements to be signed by both nations.
Clearly they have no idea how to ran an airline. How can you buy a plane then start figuring out where to fly it.
Hahahahahaa, they just shafted themselves bila lube. A '‘sleeping’'plane translates to losses, this isnt rocket science. They should have involved experts, sio kufanya mambo kienyeji hivo.
