Shida ya chumvi means what? The only one I can think of at the moment is hypertension.

That’s what the doctor told us but dementia is the situation right now,is there a treatment for it yet?

There’s different causes for dementia. How old is he?

@Str8up…No, there is no cure bro.
Sorry to say, but as time goes on he will loose more and more, till he cant remember a thing, and cant do anything for himself till…
He might also become easily agitated and hard to control. You need to have very caring and responsible people around him, an have him regularly examined by a doctor for among others high blood pressure and diabetes.
Sorry if I may sound cold, but that is from first experience…my departed old man:(

Mbona @Luther12 akiulizwa swali watu huwa vimbelembele sana kujibu na si wao wameulizwa. Ushoga tu.

youve made me prepared for the worse thanks since your view is like you’ve interacted with someone with such a case directly

@Str8up …karibu. Just edited my reply, I realize not was not complete

@jumabakevu, you know you don’t have to comment if you got nothing to say.

No, there can’t anything be done for someone who is on his way into his own world. However preventive actions can be taken by people having parents suffering/´or who suffered from dementia to lower their risk of developing dementia when being older. Read here: Can dementia be prevented - NHS

Hypo/hypernatremia = confusion…

Pole kwa mzee.
Ambia hao magwiji wakufafanulie shida ya mzee next time.
